Wall of Fame 2011

Recipient: Rickey Clardy

Rickey Clardy exemplifies the spirit of the sport of tennis. He and his doubles partner, David Sanders, have taught many talented players in our area the effectiveness of the lob shot coupled with patience and aggressive net coverage. Rickey is widely known and highly respected. He has handled himself with such dignity and grace that he has become a cherished legend. The Shelbyville Tennis Association gladly recognizes a true gentleman of our sport.

Recipient: David Sanders

David Sanders exemplifies the spirit of the sport of tennis. He and his doubles partner, Rickey Clardy, have taught many talented players in our area the effectiveness of the lob shot coupled with patience and aggressive net coverage. Recipient: David Beavers

David Beavers is one of the loyal founders of the Shelbyville Tennis Association.  He has left a legacy in this organization that is second to none.  David embodies the energy, character, and sportsmanship of a real winner.  He has passed on his enjoyment of the game of tennis to more than one generation.  To many, he is the face of Shelbyville tennis.  War Eagle!

Recipient: Dwayne Frisby

Dwayne Frisby's love of the game of tennis predates the forming of the Shelbyville Tennis Association.  Since the early 1970s, he and his friend Richard Oliver have plied their tennis on courts all over Shelbyville.  Dwayne's steady, deliberate style of tennis reflects the nature of the man we have all come to admire.  The Shelbyville Tennis Association has been the beneficiary of his dedication to our sport.

Richard Oliver's love of the game of tennis predates the forming of the Shelbyville Tennis Association.  Since the early 1970s, he and his friend Dwayne Frisby have plied their tennis on courts all over Shelbyville.  Richard's accurate, delicate style of tennis is a credit to the growth of his game and the man he has become.  The Shelbyville Tennis Association has been the beneficiary of his dedication to our sport.
